Admission Procedure in BMSCE
BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore, offers multiple UG and PG courses. You might get confused with the different admission procedures if you go via entrance exams. The direct admission procedure is pretty simple and straightforward.
Step 1 – Fill out the Application Form
Generally, the application form is always available on the website. Just go to the website and download the form. You can also choose to visit the admission office in person and collect the application form.
Step 2 – Pay the Registration Fee
As the college wants to keep the applications authentic and streamlined, it will ask you to pay a certain registration fee.
Step 3 – Document Verification
Next comes the process to cross-verify your identity. Here, you will have to submit a few government and academic documents to authenticate your identity and eligibility, respectively.
Step 4 – College Visit

Eligibility Criteria
UG Courses
- Candidates who have passed their 12th or equivalent with English as one of the languages and have received a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics as optional subjects are eligible.
PG Courses
- Candidates with a valid scorecard PGCET/GATE (Karnataka) can apply for admission.
- Those who have cleared BE/B. Tech Degree in a relevant discipline, obtaining an aggregate minimum of 50% marks, may apply. For SC, ST, and Cat-I candidates, 45% marks are sufficient.
Diploma Courses
- PhD admissions are also open to professionals from industry and academics, faculty from other institutions, postgraduates in related fields, etc.
Frequently Asked Questions
BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore, accepts 25% of the total seat intake for each course under the management quota.
To get direct admission to BMSCE Bangalore under the management quota, you still need to appear for the entrance exams to increase your chances.
