Deemed Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh 2026 – Updated List

UP is one of the most demanding places for students to join for medical courses due to the low fees and the Delhi NCR region, which is easily accessible.

And I get a lot of queries from students and parents regarding medical colleges and their admission procedures. And most of them ask about colleges that are deemed.

So I thought I must write a detailed post regarding deemed medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh.

Before I jump into the topic, I would like to introduce myself.

I am Vishnu Nambiar, an educational blogger and NEET counselling expert with more than 13 years of experience in the field of education and counselling procedures.

Deemed Admission Procedure in Uttar Pradesh

I will tell you the basic steps of the Counselling process.

But before that, I would like to tell you a few important things, and those are:

If you don’t register and attend the counseling, you won’t get a seat. Even if you are ready to pay a huge amount later, it won’t help you either.

Secondly, one small mistake in the counseling process can lead to a serious consequence of not getting a seat. I can tell you from my own experience that around 30% of students fail to get a seat just because of one small mistake.

  1. Registration

Visit www.mcc.nic.in and register under the Deemed University category. You will need to pay a refundable security deposit and counselling fee.

  1. Choice Filling and Locking

Select the colleges you want to get into, and lock your choices carefully.

Tip: Refer to last year’s cut-off and seat availability before locking choices.

  1. Seat Allotment

Seats are allotted in four rounds:

  • Round 1.
  • Round 2.
  • Mop-Up Round.
  • Stray Vacancy Round.

If you don’t get a seat in the first or second rounds, don’t lose hope; stay till the final round.

  1. Reporting to the College

If allotted, download your allotment letter, report to the college with documents, and pay the initial fees.

Documents Required

Make sure to keep the originals and 3-4 photocopies of the following documents:

  • NEET Admit Card.
  • NEET Scorecard.
  • Class 10th & 12th Mark Sheets.
  • Class 10th & 12th Passing Certificates.
  • Transfer Certificate.
  • Migration Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable).
  • ID proof (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Passport).
  • Passport-sized Photographs (at least 8).
  • MCC Allotment Letter.

Alert: Documents must be proper and correct. An error in documentation can also put you in trouble. So while registering in the online portal, cross-check the data you submit.

Tips to Choose a Deemed Medical College

Choosing a college is not just about getting a seat. You will be spending the next five and a half years of your life there. So, think twice before making a decision.

Here are a few non-negotiables you should look for:

1. Hospital & Patient Flow

The college must have a functioning hospital with good patient inflow.

2. Patient Exposure

Some colleges may restrict exposure to patients or surgical procedures. Talk to current students or alumni, if possible.

3. Experienced Faculty

Check whether the faculty is full-time, approachable, and experienced. They are really important.

4. Technology & Facilities

Check if the labs, classrooms, and hospital have modern equipment and tools.

5. Recognition & Accreditation

Ensure the college is NMC-recognized and NAAC-accredited.

6. Transparent Fee Structure

Get to know the complete fee structure before admission, including tuition, hostel, mess, and other fees. Some colleges hide extra fees, so be alert.

7. Location and Connectivity

Make sure the college is in a well-connected location with easy access to all means of transport.
