Deemed Admission Procedure in Telangana
Before I explain the steps, this is something very important. You should take it very seriously.
If you are not registering and attending the counselling, or if you make even a small mistake during the counselling process, you could lose your seat. I have seen many students who were ready to pay any amount later miss out due to simple errors.
So please stay careful and updated during the whole process. Out of this, the very basic thing is to keep the mobile number and e-mail ID used during NEET registration active.
Now I will explain about each step involved in the counselling process. I am giving the very basic details of the counselling, just for you to have an idea about it.
There are mainly 4 steps of MCC counselling in Telangana, and they are as follows:
Step 1: Registration: Go to www.mcc.nic.in and choose the “Deemed University” option and pay the registration and security fees.
Step 2: Choice Filling & Locking: Choose the colleges you are interested in and lock them.
Step 3: Seat Allotment Rounds: There are 4 rounds in MCC counselling:
- Round 1.
- Round 2.
- Mop-Up Round.
- Stray Vacancy Round.
Step 4: Reporting to the College: If you get a seat, download the allotment letter and report to the college with your documents and fees.
Documents Required
You must carry the originals and 4-5 photocopies of the following documents:
- NEET Admit Card.
- NEET Scorecard.
- 10th Marksheet & Certificate.
- 12th Marksheet & Certificate.
- Transfer Certificate.
- Migration Certificate.
- Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- Character Certificate.
- ID proof (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID).
- 8 Passport-size photos.
- MCC Allotment Letter.
Important: Do not make mistakes in documentation. Even one error in a document can create issues, so double-check everything.
It will be good if you keep 4-5 attested copies with you, as you have to submit the original documents to the college. In case you want to apply for a passport or anything, it will be useful.
How to Choose a Deemed College in Telangana?
These are my personal suggestions about filtering a medical college. Not only in Telangana, but also if you are looking for a medical college in any state, you can also keep these in mind.
1. Hospital & Patient Flow
The college must have its own hospital with good patient flow. This helps you get real clinical experience during your MBBS or PG Medical.
2. Clinical Exposure
Talk to students already studying there. Ask if they are getting enough patient interaction. You can use platforms like Instagram or LinkedIn for this.
3. Faculty
Check if the teaching staff is experienced and full-time. You will get this information from the students there, or I can help you with the details through my NEET guidance service.
4. Facilities & Technology
The labs, lecture halls, and OTs should have modern equipment. As technology is advancing even in the medical field now, you have to choose a college where they give importance to technological advancements.
5. Transparency in Fees
Many students only look at the tuition fee, but you should also ask about the hostel, mess, and any extra fees. Yeah, there are college managers who are into torturing and looting students, so have a basic idea of the proper expense.
6. Location & Safety
The college should be in a good, accessible, and safe location. It is especially important if you are from another state. This is just a tip, not a mandatory thing. Because there are excellent colleges that are located in remote locations, too.
Conclusion
So, as per NMC, there are 2 deemed medical colleges in Telangana, and I have tried my best to give all the information regarding the intake, admission procedure, and fee structure.
