How Many Deemed Medical Colleges in Rajasthan?

Let me start with the most common question – how many deemed medical colleges are there in Rajasthan?

Rajasthan currently has only one deemed medical college, and that is:

  • National Institute of Medical Sciences & Research. The college is situated in Jaipur.

Here is the basic overview of the college:

Deemed Admission Procedure in Rajasthan

I will explain the counselling process.

But first, read this very carefully.

If you are not registering and attending the counselling process, then forget about getting a seat, even if you are willing to pay lakhs later. Also, one small error in the process can lead to a big loss. I have personally seen around 30% of students lose their seats just because of one minor mistake!

Now, let me tell you the counseling steps:

Step 1: Registration

Go to www.mcc.nic.in. Select the Deemed University option and register yourself. You will need to pay the counselling fee and a refundable security deposit.

Step 2: Choice Filling & Locking

Choose the colleges you prefer and lock your choices once you’re sure.

Step 3: Seat Allotment

There are 4 rounds of seat allotment:

  • Round 1.
  • Round 2.
  • Mop-Up Round.
  • Stray Vacancy Round.

If you don’t get a seat in the first or second round, don’t worry. Stay in till the last round; many students get in the later rounds.

Step 4: Reporting to the College

Once you’re allotted a seat, download the allotment letter. Go to the college with your documents and pay the admission fee.

Documents Required

Make sure to carry originals and 3-4 photocopies of these documents:

  • NEET Admit Card.
  • NEET Scorecard.
  • Class 10 & 12 Marksheets.
  • Class 10 & 12 Passing Certificates.
  • Transfer Certificate.
  • Migration Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable).
  • Conduct Certificate.
  • Aadhaar Card/Passport/Voter ID.
  • At least 8 passport-size photos.
  • MCC Allotment Letter.

Important: Double-check your documents. Even a small error can create problems. Documents to the college. In case you want to apply for a passport or anything, it will be useful.

Tips to Choose a Deemed Medical College

These are a few tips to choose the best deemed medical college from my end:

  1. Hospital & Patient Flow

The college should have a proper hospital with enough patients per day.

  1. Clinical Exposure

Talk to seniors or current students, ask if students are getting patient interaction.

  1. Faculty

Teachers should be qualified, experienced, and available to clear your doubts.

4. Technology

Classrooms and labs should be modern and well-equipped with the latest technologies and equipment.

5. NMC Recognition

Make sure the college is NMC-approved and also NAAC-accredited.

6. Fees Transparency

Don’t just look at the tuition fee. Ask about the hostel, mess, and extra fees too. Some colleges hide fees, be alert!

7. Location

The college should be in a good, safe area with good transport connectivity. Jaipur is a good location for that.

Conclusion

So there is only one deemed medical college in Rajasthan, and I have tried my best to give you all the basic information about its fee structure, intake, admission procedure, etc.
