Deemed Medical Colleges in Gujarat
As I told you earlier, Gujarat has only 1 deemed medical college:
- SBKS Medical Institute & Research Centre (Sumandeep Vidyapeeth University), Vadodara.
| Established Year | MBBS Seats | Management Quota Fee (Average Per Year) | NRI Quota Fee (Average Per Year) |
| 2002 | 250 | Rs 22,75,000 | 40,000 USD |
The college comes under the Sumandeep Vidyapeeth University and is located in Vadodara. Gujarat is a closed state, and the only option for anyone (Without a domicile of Gujarat) who wants to join a medical college in Gujarat is to join SBKS Medical College, as it’s a deemed university college.
So, what is a closed state?
That means, only a native of the same state can join any medical college that is under the State Counselling authority. But in a deemed medical college, students from any other state can join.
